The niu Leo
Neurenberg
One of the niu hotels that Mulderblauw designed for Novum Group is ‘the niu Leo’, located in Nuremberg. The niu hotels are characterized by the ‘lifestyle of today’s people’, with millennials as the main target group.
strength
The location of the hotel plays an important role in the interior design, as well as in the restaurant and retail. Located in the up-and-coming district Leonhardspark the niu Leo has an excellent location to reach the target group.
The concept of this hotel is inspired by the name of the area: the name Leonhard comes from the Latin word Leo, which means lion. Just like a lion, the niu Leo is powerful and outstanding.
In order to let this strength stand out in the interior design, we used durable, robust elements such as steel, concrete, leather and stone tiles. The colour palette consists of a range of black, white and greyish shades, what makes the look and feel of the hotel an expressive whole.
dynamic
A warm shade of wood softens the powerful look & feel and assures a friendly atmosphere for guests, right upon entry. The variation in seating and seating heights in the public area gives the niu Leo the lively character that fits the brand. The rooms have the same strong colour palette as the public spaces, but the materials are softer and very comfortable. Throughout the hotel guests will find references to the king of animals, which makes a visit to the lion’s den a surprising experience every time.
