The niu Dwarf

In commission of Novum Group, Mulderblauw is developing several the niu hotels in the Netherlands and Germany. For the new build hotel “the niu Dwarf”, located in the south of Berlin, Mulderblauw is responsible for the interior design.

The site of the hotel is adjacent to an area where many allotment gardens can be found. Reviewing the location, the traditional allotment garden proved to be a perfect source of inspiration for the interior design of this young and fresh hotel brand.
Accessories are a nod to the kitschy elements from traditional allotment gardens.
We made a contemporary interpretation of garden gnomes, greenhouses and garden furniture, which resulted in a vivid colour palette combined with natural materials. The rooms of the niu Dwarf are designed with natural and comfortable materials, with yellow pops of colour.
