Holiday Inn Express
Utrecht Papendorp
In the Papendorp office park in Utrecht, located at the intersection of the A2 and A12 motorways, we drew up the design for the transformation of a vacant office building into a Holiday Inn Express hotel.
Within five months the building was converted into a hotel with lounge, bar, breakfast space, meeting rooms and 118 bedrooms. The building consists of two pavilions, each five floors in height, connected by a glazed bridge.

The hotel bedrooms are all located in one of the pavilions. The open office floors have been changed into floors with about thirty hotel bedrooms, all of which enjoy views of the green surroundings and are accessed by a central corridor. We designed the public spaces in the transparent bridge sections, ensuring a magnificent view of the surrounding park. The design of the public space is carried out by Horecare.
