Greenparc
Bleiswijk
Commissioned by Somerset Capital Partners and USAA Real Estate, Mulderblauw made the design for a large distribution centre on business park ‘Greenparc’ in Bleiswijk. The plot, on which we designed a multi-tenant distribution centre, is adjacent to the A12 motorway and surrounded by greenery and water.
bright and universal
The shape of the plot gave a reason to divide the building in three warehouses with different sizes. Each of these three warehouses has its own facilities, what makes them dividable into a total of six separately rentable units.
By choosing clear architectural principles, a universal design is created. The building is characterized by a strong light-dark contrast between the plinth and façade cladding.
We gave the docks a similar dark grey colour as the concrete plinth, resulting them to blend perfectly in the design and causing visual calm.
Compared to the light facade of the warehouse, the office part protrudes slightly. Together with the grey colour tone, this causes a subtle accent on the office part and the individual companies within the main building volume.
The sustainable ambitions for this project helped us with the choice of materials: the used materials have a high percentage of recycled content. In addition to that, the roof of the building is richly provided with PV panels. During this project development we strive to obtain a BREAAM-very good certificate.
