QO Amsterdam shortlisted for several awards

QO Amsterdam: a national and international success

We can proudly say that QO Amsterdam has been nominated for no less than seven different national and international award programmes.

Hotel of the year
For one of the nominations the QO already managed to snag a prize. Wednesday October 10th the hotel received the Hotel Property Award 2018 at the awards ceremony in Munich. The jury based their decision on a few criteria: the originality of the concept, the way the project is integrated in its environment and the level of innovation of the project.

International nominations
The AHEAD awards, meaning Awards for Hospitality, Experience and Design, is a prestigious international prize awarded to the most extraordinary hospitality projects that strive for an exceptional design and high-quality guest experience. With QO Amsterdam we’re competing for the prize in the category 'Urban Hotel - Newbuild; for exceptional design and architecture'.

Dezeen, a globally well-known and influential architecture and design platform, shortlisted QO Amsterdam for their annual awards programme as well. For the Dezeen Awards, the hotel is a contender in the category Hospitality Interior.

Besides these prestigious awards, we are on the shortlist for three other international awards: the Meaning-centered Design Awards in the category

'Consumer Services', the SBID International Design Awards in the categories' Hotel Public Space Design', 'Hotel Bedroom & Suites’ and 'Club & Bar Design' and the Vision Style Awards  for Eco Champion of the Year.

National nominations
On a national scale, QO has not gone unnoticed either. For example, QO Amsterdam has made it to the top three of the ARC18 Innovation Awards. This award is assessed by an independent jury, selected by the Architect.

For the most important hospitality awards in the Netherlands, the ‘Entree Awards’, the QO has received three nominations; 'Best Cocktailbar', 'Best Hotel Design' and 'Best Hotel Concept'.

The QO is also a contender for the UNETO-VNI Innovation Award and last but not least, Cobouw has rewarded the project with a nomination for 'Most Sustainable Project'.

QO Amsterdam is a joint design by Mulderblauw, Paul de Ruiter Architects and Arup, commissioned by Amstelside BV. The project was constructed by JP van Eesteren, Croonwolter&dros and 4Building.
